Coffe break

Coffe break is a priceless tradition of Italian cultural heritage.

Workers, employees, managers, doctors, atypical workers, students and immigrants drink coffee today, as it was the case in Venice in 1768, where it was considered an act of friendship, if not of love. The coffee break is a moment of aggregation between people and attitudes: in factories, offices, bars, different and yet equal places.

With this project I wanted to photograph a break that sets us apart from the rest of the world, to show that it is part of our culture and our generous spirit.

I think of Naples "suspended coffee" ... a customer enters, takes a coffee and pays for two, because one is for those who pass by the bar and will have no money to buy it.

This beautiful initiative has been disseminated in other cities and shows how coffee for Italians is a ritual to share.
